& REWILD ETHOS

At Retreat & Rewild we believe in rewilding the people and the landscape. Our retreats are about creating, curating and facilitating wilder events and retreats AND tackling social and environmental issues. We run heart-led retreats to lead you back to your most authentic self and use the profits to create positive social change.

PROTECTING THE WILDERNESS

Experience of the wild is at the heart of what we do.

Wildness is a finite resource, in a World fast being stripped of its natural assets. In the last 50 years, two thirds of all animal populations have been lost to habitat destruction, and climate change and biodiversity collapse now threaten to transform life on earth. This is why we are passionate about reinvesting our profits to support the work of the John Muir Trust – a conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places.

We donate directly to John Muir Trust’s Wild Action Fund which enables people from all walks of life access to the health and wellbeing benefits of nature. Adults overcoming addiction have planted almost 2,000 trees at Glenlude forest as part of a recovery through nature programme.

CONNECTED AND seasonal LIVING

We live in a time where we are more connected to our phones than we are to each other. A time where we live by cycles of burnout rather than cycles of the moon. A time where we are so used to rushing and hustling that we struggle to receive and be still.

Retreat & Rewild aims to create events and retreats which facilitate a much-needed reconnection to ourselves, to each other and to nature. Our retreats honour nature’s cycles, encouraging seasonal, slow, and simple living. By following the ebb and flow of the seasons, we cultivate connections to our ancestors who followed the seasons before us and to the rhythms of the Earth. All living things require phases of contraction and expansion, rest and activity, purging and building. We can receive so much guidance, wisdom, and healing from honouring these cycles and transitions into each season. Our retreats will immerse you into this intentional way of living and being.

PROGRESSIVE WELLNESS SPACES

Experiencing wild places and retreats shouldn’t be a privilege. We believe everyone should have access to retreat spaces and experience the numerous benefits of accessing wild places.

We recognize the social systemic barriers experienced by underrepresented groups and offer subsidized places on our retreats and events as part of our diversity, equity, and inclusion policy. These places are intended for those with low/ no income, students, and those who would not be able to access these retreats at full cost.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“I want to head back to the hills and never leave!”

“Such a divine weekend of resting, resting and rewilding with the sweetest of angels. Definitely not ready to leave the bliss of nonstop eating and beautiful practices, but so grateful for the experience. I will miss the collective of warm souls, our roaring fires, tarot readings and little shepherd’s huts!”

“I felt so good just for being me this weekend and I so needed that. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for nourishing my soul.”
